HP Storevirtual installation and configuration Guide Part-2

In our previous article, we discussed about configuring HP Storevirtual Storage using ILO and setting the IP address.
In this article, we will explore the other configuration steps of HP Storevirtual storage device.

Before we start, check your StoreVirtual OS version and download the correct Centralized Management Console (CMC) version from SWDepot 

• Download CMC executable and copy to your CMC server.
• Run the executable from its downloaded location.

• In this article, we are going to install CMC version 12.0, once you see the installer screen click "OK" to start the installation.

• At the introduction screen, click "Next" and you will be taken to the License agreement screen.

• The next screen will take you to license Agreement related with the CMC software and its terms and conditions. Please go through them and accept the agreement. Then Click "Next" to continue. 

• Once you accept the agreement, the next screen will prompt you to select the desired installation option. You may select your choice and click next to continue. 

• Next screen is to select  the installation folder. You may accept the default folder or you can key in the new folder name.Once done, click "Next"  

• You can select the installation options in the next screen. Select the check box if you want to have a shortcut created on your desktop for the CMC instance.

• If you want to start the CMC automatically once the installation is finished, please check "Yes" and click Next to continue.

• Next screen will take you to pre-installation summary. Verify the details are correct and click "install" to start the software installation.

• If you have any existing instance of CMC, the installer will automatically uninstall the existing version 

• Once the un-installation is finished, the installer will automatically deploy the new version.

• Once the installation is completed, the final screen will show you notes about support alert. Click "Done" to exit from the installer. 

Next part we will touch base with Management group creation and cluster formation.
